Sebring Historic Fall Classic 2007

The 2007 Sebring Fall Historic Classic
Presented by Alan Jay Automotive Network
November 30 - December 2, 2007

Featuring Historic GTP/Group C Series, World Championship of Makes Series, World Sportscar Series, Historic GT Series, Historic Stock Car Racing Association, American Muscle Car Challenge, Porsche 356 Reunion, Klub Sport Porsche Challenge, 6 Hour ROLEX Endurance Challenge Series Race and Dash Series Races.

I will be joining our American Alfa enthusiasts, as a guest, for the above event. They make an annual pilgimage to Sebring and have an Italian car paddock adjacent to their own grandstand. In addition to the events listed above, each represented car club has circuit time to drive their own cars around this historic circuit (Drive, not race) Pity I won't be taking my Brera, but I've been promised a few circuit drives in various Alfas.
No, I'm not making the trip just for this (Goodwood Revival-type)event, I've finally been able to obtain an invitation to the private Collier car collection in Florida, after a very long and arduous struggle. (I enquired about this on here, many months ago. Then on our USA equivalent site - hence the invitation to Sebring) Fortunately, Collier will accommodate me during the week before Sebring, so it will be an even more special trip for me. Collier inherited the Cunningham collection of cars shortly before Briggs Cunningham died; this is my prime objective for going there.
I'll be reporting on both events elsewhere, after the visit.

Re: Sebring Historic Fall Classic 2007

Here's the sum total of the Alfa contingent at last Sunday's Historic race meeting at Sebring, Florida. Yes, that's 5 Alfas, 2 Fiats, 1 Ferrari and 1 MGA. And we think Alfas are thin on the ground in the UK! Nevertheless it was an amazing 3 days, with some outstanding cars and racing. My thanks and best wishes to my various hosts, if you happen to be reading this........ It was a memorable trip, especially the weather

It was like I was 20 years old again Long live my second childhood!
