Now some talk about the install...
We had to cut the rear part of the ashtay compartment (not the one you can take out to clean), we also had to cut the "lower" triangular part that holds the removable compartment. Both cuts had to be made to be able to fit the ipod dock low enough to have enough overhead space to fit an ipod. i don't think you have to do all these cuts to fit and ipod mini or nano tough, and the first one had to be made in order to pass the cables from behind..
The car is very very dirty, bear in mind it's been washed in the weekend.. but the weather was really bad in beirut this weekend, and i HAD to park in a very "muddy" environment. One more thing, what looks like scratches on the right of the ipod is just some glue-gun residue that i have easily peeled out..
For the audio connection, i have used the regular blaupunkt audio only cable, since i already had it. but i am seriously thinking of upgrading to the blaupunkt/dension icelink interface...
I have also plugged in a Griffin PowerPod to recharge the ipod while driving. Since this created a whining noise that varies with RPM, we added in a "ground loop isolator" that kills interference.
I also talked to a friend of mine who does wonders with fiberglass (he fully designed and crafted a bodykit for his own Celica, and he's never worked at a paint shop) he's gonna craft me a cover to hide the "hole" and make the whoe setup look similar to this:

I think that's it... Let me know if you have any questions, i'll be glad to answer.
