Brera Front Speakers recommendation

After a few hours of diagnosis trying to fix problem (checking head unit and connectors), my Brera front passenger door speaker has failed and now distorts the sound quite badly.

can anyone recommend a good source and price for the original speaker and also any speaker upgrades that will fit.

I understand that the speakers depths need to be shallow due to the door.

Can anyone provide dimensions of the original speaker before I remove the door card and if I need any adapters for upgraded speakers.

The door itself is fine, but the window is really big! (and comes into the space behind the speaker) A simple MDF ring will do the job.

If you have a Bose system, things get a lot more complicated. (as there are impedance issues, and quite a few wiring things to sort out..

The original speakers are 165mm. So there is a lot of options.

No I don't have a Bose system, do all 165mm speakers have the same fixing hole locations.

No, but with a MDF ring you make one set of holes to attach the ring to the door, an a set of pilot holes to attach the speakers
