Aftermarket stereo in a GT

I'm in the process of purchasing my first Alfa, a GT selespeed and want a bit of advice on the stereo side of things. I've taken my kenwood head unit out of my BMW and want to fit it into the GT so I can have the iPhone connected etc. is it a simple as job as the BMW was where i just fitted a face plate and the correct wiring loom or is it more complicated than that where the stock stereo and the electrics are all inter linked to the ecu ?? Don't want to fit anything thats likely to mess up the electrics or the reliability of the car

Cheers for the help

It's relatively similar, you'll need the face plate, iso plug for the aerial, and interface for steering wheel controls if you have them, I bought a complete kit with stereo keys, fascia and interface for about £35 and it had everything, just be sure to specify the interface is for a kenwood unit. I'll try and post the link

You'll also need a switched power feed.

See the guide below:

I found I didn't need one for the 147, but probably different for the GT

It's easy if you have experience; ranging up to being a nightmare if you have no idea. So it depends on what you are able to do.

Is the Kenwood 1-DIN or 2-DIN size?

It won't mess the ECU electrics when done properly. And is mostly plug-and-play, particularly with the Connect2 CTSAR003 interface.
