Complete loss of MW/LW on my 159 head unit.

Since I have had the car, 3 months, the MW has been acting oddly. Comes on fine if I turned it on, then randomly just "lost" all MW signal at odd times. Sometimes 2 mins into the journey, sometimes after a whole 90 minute match of 5 Live.

Then, last week it just went and hasn't come back.

No signal on LW either. When I try to tune in on either wave length I get just static noise and no stations at all.
FM is fine, picks up traffic reports, local, national stations without a problem. So this lends me to believe the aerial is ok, as are the connections.

Any thoughts on as to how the MW/LW signal has gone would be much appreciated.

Alfa-less for way too long

Have done a bit of searching and can see that many people fitting non-Alfa HUs are finding a reduced or even no AM/MW signal. Seems the Brera has an FM aerial in the heated window element and an AM/MW aerial in the side window, the HU sends a 12v signal to an amplifier for these.
So, what does the 159 use?

I had the headlining down enough to see the aerial base a while ago, searching for a solution to my Blue and Me Nav issue. But the MW/AM worked then, even if intermittently, now nothing at all. Hmmmm. Annoying.

Think its HU out and do some cable tracing next weekend.
