I'd also begun having this problem in a MiTo recently and have managed to fix it by having a look at the various Blue & Me threads about resetting the system.
What you need to do is:
Get some needle nose pliers,
Make sure the keys aren't in the ignition,
Open the glove box,
Locate the fuses behind the glovebox on the left,
Locate the 10 amp fuse (there's only one, the rest have different numbers written on them),
Remove this fuse using the pliers,
Wait (I waited 2 minutes),
Re-insert the fuse (I used the pliers to get the fuse slightly into the hole and then pushed it the rest of the way with my fingers).
The system should now start showing the information on the centre console again.
Note that the car's alarm won't work until you have restarted the car (started the engine and turned it off again). The first time you start the car it will display the alarm unavailable message but after this it should be fine.
Also note that I'm not responsible for any damage or injury caused while doing this.
