iphone 4s and blue and me

just tried to upgrade my 2009 spider to iphone 4s. Usual tedious upgrade to 5.5 and pairing is fine but the ipod connector will not recognise the iphone 4s so cannot play music. My mechanic tried with other brera and 159s in the workshop and the same problem across the board....so is anyone with a pre 2010 alfa been able to upgrade to an iphone 4s? Help!!

I have a 2007 Alfa 159, and an iPhone 4s. Works fine!

Try this. Connect the phone before starting your car. Still no connection? With car running, remove iphone-connector from car-usb a couple of seconds and then reconnect. Usually works for me (had the same problem with iPhone 3GS/4 sometimes).

Thanks my friend but still no go and same story with several cars tried in the workshop (159, spider etc)

Have you tried shutting down your iPhone, connect to the car (with car stereo running) and then start the phone?

Tried all the combinations you suggest and still nothing.......
