Multichanger for 156

Hi all

Just got my year 2000 156 yesterday, and it has what I am sure is the original radio / cassette player, it also has a CD button on the front of it.

So does anyone know of a cd multichanger that is compatible with this unit? There is no model number on it, it just says Alfa Romeo RDS on the cassette loading flap thing.

The most important thing to me is simple installation, ideally I am looking to just plug in and go.

Or would it be just as easy to bin the tape deck (perhaps I could sell it on "Antiques Roadshow") and replace it with something more up to date.

Remove the current unit and fit a new one. Prices are surprisingly low for what will be light years better than the unit in there. My father has ipod hidden in glove box on his '98 156 with pioneer head unit.
Go for it.

If you change your mind, the compatible CD changer is an Alpine CHM-S630.
Or Alpine CHA-S634 MP3 changer and Alpine KCA-130B interface adaptor.
