Another 147 iPod cable question!

Hi guys,

haven't really had much experience with this type of thing so go easy on me,

bought cheap cable from fleabay to connect iPod to cd changer port on HU, read in a few other posts that you need to modify the cable to trick the HU into thinking its a CD changer, am i on the right tracks? Tried just connecting it as normal but it doesn't recognise it at all and no luck whatsoever.

any advice would be much appreciated, I've read through posts and searched but really can't find any answers or suggestions worth trying.

You can try joining the terminals marked as 'DATA-IN' and 'DATA-OUT' but it doesn't seem to work for most 147 radios

I'm gonna bite the bullet and buy a proper one from the dealer. It's about £60 but at least I know it'll work.

Although don't be surprised if it isn't recognised at first If it's not just try a few power on/offs
