Giulietta and Experia X8 not happy

Hi all, today I took delivery of a brand new giulietta and I have given up attempting to bluetooth my xperia X8.

According to the compatibility chart I should be ok, but when I enter the four numbers, the phone immediately tells me there was a problem connecting and thats it.

I am able to connect a wildfire OK. Anything I can try on the phone (Shy of lobbing it on the road, which I was tempted to do)

Also long shot this, but is there any other way to display the phone book, I practically cannot fathom it, why does it not just display names or a, b, c etc?

Just keep trying to pair the phone.


Make sure the automatic screenlock is switched off.

Delete any B&M pairing on the phone and search from scratch.
Don't use an existing entry.




There is an issue with how fast you enter the bluetooth PIN
on SE phone and it seems to be a bit flaky.

Thanks for the tip, I persisted another 6 or 7 times then suddenly it connected just like that.

Most odd!

All I have to do now is try and understand how it does the address book and I should be set!

On the 159 the phonebook is the 1st option you get when you press the phone button.

Otherwise via voice command (Press the voice command button):

"Call, Joe Bloggs, Mobile"
