Spider LE upgrade speaker & amp

Hi,

I believe that you can upgrade the standard stereo on LE Spider with just new speakers & amp to the existing stereo??
I dont want it to be all sing and all dancing, just want to upgrade it with a bit more pow!!
Can this be done ??? and if so has anyone done it?
I'm happy to have a go and have good background in electronics, just want to know what amp and speakers were used etc.
Can also someone tell me if there is a manual for the standard stereo with connection details on the back of the stereo.

Connection diagram is on the top of the stereo. you can see it when you pull the stereo.

There is always the option of adding any aftermarket amplifier and speakers you want. General principles of installation will apply:
*powerwire for amp from battery, fused
*groundwire to chassis
*remote trigger (ignition) wire to amp
*audio signal connection to amp: can tap into speakerwires and use a line output converter
*new speakerwire from amp to speakers: can run wires to existing Alfa speakerwire ISO plug

*speakers mounted on mdf wood spacer rings

Plug-and-play can offer a minor improvement. Much like Bose is better than the standard system. But aftermarket gear has much great potential. It just requires a bit more technical installation and tunings.
