Usb - Won't play music

Ok. So I've bought a little USB that takes Micro SDs. Basically, I put it in on the way home from the dealer and it all worked fine.

However, not it won't work; when i go through the files, it either doesn't play them at all, or it will only play one file. Mainly, though, it says it's on Blue & Me media player, but then goes back to radio before anything plays. Any ideas? Seems like just a bad connection between the two to me?

Re: Usb - Won't play music

It needs to be formated for FAT, not NTFS. I know FAT32 should work, not sure about FAT16. But if the formatting was wrong I wouldn't expect it to play anything.

It could also be that the bitrate (or similar) isn't supported by your player - eg it may not support variable bit rate or some wierd intermediate setting. If it always plays particular tracks but not others, check the compression settings in the properties of various files

sorry, just read that you said it had played fine to start with, so it can't be the format or compresion settings

Re: Usb - Won't play music

Get another stick with a different playlist on it, jam this in, let it build, then put the original one back in.

It builds a history file that sometimes gets corrupted and it gets to thinking that there is nothing else on it......

.....however if this is the fault, then 'play anything' will play tracks that the navigator cant find!
