Blue&Me audio takes a while to kick in/goes dead

I havea Spider 2.2JTS with Blue&Me.

Sometimes the audio takes forever to kick-in, sometimes not at all. Also, when listening to music from a USB stick, it will cut out and the whole system need turning off and on before sound will come back through. This problem never occurs when listening to the radio or a CD.

Has anyone else experienced this problem/know how to fix it?

It could be a dodgy connection, but that would not explain the randomness of it working sometimes, but not at others...

Re: Blue&Me audio takes a while to kick in/goes dead

Having more and more problems with this...whenever there is a small bump on the road the audio system switches from 'media player' to Tuner and then, when i try to get it back to Media Player mode it will not switch, it goes to AUX.This does not allow me to control the blue & me at all (not even make a phone call). I have to turn the whole system off and back on to make it work. Would appreciate your feedback after you visit your dealer. Cheers!

Re: Blue&Me audio takes a while to kick in/goes dead

OK. One visit to the dealer turned into two this week...

At first they replaced the Blue&Me control unit (I think that was the term). This fixed the problem until I was five minutes up the road from the dealer, when the sound cut out! So, on the second visit to the dealer, they decided the radio unit was also at fault and replaced the head unit to that as well. So far, all is good... but will report back if problems occur again.

The interesting thing here was that the service guys said they had found fault with the original part they replaced - so I was clearly suffering from two different problems conspiring to result in the same issue.

Also - the dealer did say that Blue&Me still isn't 'right' as a product -- and they find themselves replacing at least three or four units a week at the moment!
