Does the media player work?

Have you paired the phone to the car using
the pairing option from the settings menu?

What phone do you have?

Re: Blue&Me in Alfa 159T

Thanks for replying. The phone (GSM) is Nokia 6085.The phone system in the car is GPS integrated and fabric installed (brand new car).A SIM card insert is provided. The radio is ok.Pairing or registering the phone (GSM) to the car doesn't work since the phone (GSM) DOES NOT find the Bluetooth of the car's phone system.Different GSM's with Bluetooth DO NOT detect the presence of a Bluetooth in the car's system. The whole system (car phone & GPS) is voice sensitive.A settings menu for the pairing has not be found yet (why?).The GPS seems to work.
Can it be that the system works on a DUO-SIM-card?
That's all Folks I can tell now.(I still have to contact the car dealer).
Thanks for the help.

Well there's your problem!

There is no bluetooth in the factory fitted
SatNav/GSM system.

Doesnt sound like Blue and me - you set it to pair mode and it gives you a pin number to put into the phone!

Good morning Folks. I contacted my car mechanicien. He too doesn't understand what happened and how the system functions. I'm out of Office during 4 weeks. Meanwhile he will contact the dealer and ask for explanation. I'll inform You when I'm back. Many thanks for the help.
Till soon.

Yes it's all very 1990's tech.

Mercedes/Nokia use SAP (SIM Access Protocol) over
bluetooth which means it grabs all the SIM info
from your mobile but actually uses the
car's phone to make/rec calls.
Works well and gives you an 8 watt phone
with an external antenna instead of a
2 watt phone in a metal box.

Good morning Folks. Thanks a lot " nomad and Nev " for the new advices.I have found something about the " SAP " on the NET.

Re: Blue&Me in Alfa 159T

Dude,

You do understand that your 159 has zero Bluetooth?
You cannot connect a mobile phone to your car's system at all.
You must use the phone of the satnav system by inserting a SIM card.

Re: Blue&Me in Alfa 159T

Don't worry Nev. I'm not a dude.I understand where You are talking about. The SIM-card entry is provided on the satnav system. So I'll try my 8 watt satnav phone with external antenna. Thanks for the help.
