Hello all

I have red a fair number of threads and I can't seem to find a clear or more detailed answer for the following questions:
1. Is the particular version of NAV+ mp3 capable? If so how?
2. Is there a way to connect an external device to the system without having to rip off the console?
3. Is there a software update for the particular system? Where could someone find the update?

I would appreciate any help I can get because is very fraustrating the fact that I cannot play mp3 in my car.

Thank you all

1) No. Only with the aid of external devices like Loudlink or Gateway

2) No. Except via radio transmitter, not recommended.

3) Depends on your current version. Map updates are available via the NavTeq webshop: Navteq shop , system updates via the Alfa dealer. However, if you have a 2007 model, you probably have the latest system software version. I doubt whether there will be any system updates available, now or in the future as the connect+ system is quite old, and I suspect will shortly be phased out....

Re 1, if you have software version 4.xx or 5.xx, yes, it is, or can be made, MP3 capable by means of a software update.
re 3, the MP3 update is available via the net/ebay. Official firmware updates via your dealer. Map updates via the dealer or directly from the internet navteq shop.

(A bit later there will be available aux in version of Loudlink...)

I think the reason of the non workable aux in adapters that:
The CNAV+ head unit is from magnetti marelli not from blaupunkt.

I experienced so many incompatibility problem.

When the ignition is turned off, and turned on again the CD Changer start the playing after pressing play button. This is the smallest problem....

The bigest is that, start with the begin of the last played track again!

The CD changer is working good with another (blaupunkt ) radios...
(remark: Loudlink workaround this problem as You can see on the video)

And the other things what You cannot see, just when analyze the protocoll between radio and cd changer...

CNAV head unit is very different than the other blaupunkt head units..
The simple AUX in adapters use the short circuit between rx and tx pins of the CDC bus...but maybe Magnetti Marelli not implemented this function. (like the other functions...)

Maybe.. I never tried...

Sorry to bump this thread but I've been thinking about upgrading my Connect+ unit for a while.
On some radio's. you can fool them into thinking there is a changer connected by connecting the data-in to the data-out on the changer plug, however, this trick does not work for the connect+.
Is this actually confirmed? Loudlink is very expensive for what is effectively an aux-in cable plus MP3 player. :(
