Help please rover P4

A year or two back I saw this Rover at the Bromley Pagent of motoring and haven't been able to find out any more about it. It's a cool car, classic British, outwardly standard except for bright red paint, that is until ou sart to look a bit more closely and WOW..

Does anyone know anything about it?http://www.pistonheads.com/pics/news...%20rover-L.JPG

Do you mean know anything about that individual car? If so try the P4 owners guild, sorry if I'm telling my granny how to suck eggs there by the way.

What is it about it that's strange I'd be interested to know, I've spotted the funny wheels and the twin exhausts, has it got a V8 under there?

I've got a real fondness for these I started driving in one back in the 80's. Fantastic build quality much better than the later and more expensive P5b coupe I've got these days, which in the details can look a bit cheap.

It's some tool but I can't help thinking that I'd pefer it in two tone paint with some of those organic greens and greys used.

Mine was Green Shadow Green, green leather. I agree the greys were lovely, especially with the red leather.

I was wondering who built it what engine, running gear Etc.
From what I saw it looked a wolf in sheeps clothing. I was drawn to it, because I really like the idea of something that outwardly looks uite plain and simple yet would blow the socks off of anything it came up against. Something that is not particularly flash n showy but one the less mean as ****.

Quite plain? They have tremendous road presence. I seriously doubt that a P4 however you modified it would ever blow the socks off anything, especially on the first bend.
