Sidelights and MOTs

Does anyone have a definitiave answer to the MOT regulations for sidelights, my brief google search has just shown that "a car should have sidelights" but I presume there must be some other definition (as my car failed it's MOT because the lights were the wrong color

)

They have to be white unless your headlamps are yellow.
