Just back from Prague. While there I saw a vehicle with an Alfa Badge on it that I had never seen before. I think that it is some kind of kit/one off probably with an Alfa lump under the bonnet.
I knew it looked vaguely familiar. There were others that were similar but didn't have a mainstream badge and were obvious kits. It just seemed a bit random that one of them should have an Alfa badge on it.
It's a bit like an extended wheelbase version of the quattroroute gran sport replicas that they made about 90 of in the mid sixties. Based on a Giulia 1600 they only weighed 750kg so were quite pokey for the day and were supposed to mimic a 1750GS. Found a piece on it here Automotive Database: Alfa Romeo Gran Sport Quattroruote
So whether it's an 'improved' original with extended wheelbase (unlikely) or somebody's own effort as a re-creation of a re-creation is not clear.
I can see the simlarities, but I think your re-creation is nearer the mark as the whole thing seemed out of proportion not quite "right" like many of these replicas.
