Re: Alfa "Junior": your chance to choose a proper name
Plus it looks like you have to be resident in Italy. Which means I can't vote for 'Junior'.
Nice idea, though - same way they named the old Spider 'Duetto', isn't it?

Be nice if it did have a proper name, something evocatively Italian

They did this back in the day with the duetto didnt they..let people choose the name....fantastic!!
Would love them to hark back to years gone by! ie "VeloceMitch" 's reply.

Not sure if anyone's seen this, but this is the UK site for this competition.

Re: Alfa "Junior": your chance to choose a proper name
I think the Italian speakers have a distinct advantage here. I have spent a while playing with babel fish - but it's impossible for a non-native Italian speaker to appreciate all the subtle connotations associated with any Italian word.

I have an advantage in that I speak Italian.
I have a disadvantage in having a poor imagination!
Perhaps we should team up?

Re: Alfa "Junior": your chance to choose a proper name
Alfa Corsu was my bid.
Is the name of the old (and dying out) Corsican dialect which is quintessentially Italian.
And yes I know Corsica is part of France before you remind me!!!

Re: Alfa "Junior": your chance to choose a proper name
Well considering that it will be just another Hatch, then Alfa Hatch seems like a 'good' name
This is rumoured to be very close to the real thing

However either Junior or Alfa 4c would be ok or even a return of the Alfetta name
139-?
149-Guilietta
159-Guilia
169-?

Remember it is an Alfa Romeo and I have yet to see an Alfa Romeo that looks as good in a Photo as it does right there in front of you in 'real life'
