Re: Alfa Romeo 8c Competizione

Just got another snippet of information...production run of 500 (still unconfirmed number) may be drip fed over a period from 2007 to 2009, rather than run in a single batch

Re: Alfa Romeo 8c Competizione

Thanks Sakis,
Superb photos, and the videos are something special. Make me realise how lucky we were to be there when they were being filmed. The car just looks more stunning with every viewing.

Crazed Re: Alfa Romeo 8c Competizione

Just read through this whole thread utterly transfixed!
I feel physically exhausted....

The photos/vids are just too much. I can't add any more superlatives to what has already been said. It really gets more and more beautiful with every viewing (better than the 33 Stradale?? Mmm) - and now with high(ish) quality videos too!

Many thanks to the contributors - especially Sakis for helping keeping us "keen". I too saw the Spider at Goodwood UK and spent half of the day pawing over it, stalking it for the supercar runs and the rest of the time talking about it!

This is the car to re-establish the marque to it's rightful place. We won't need Mr Clarkson to give his nod of approval (although I'd like to see the Stig wringing every one of those horses around their test track! Only then will we gauge the 430 comparison). There's never been question over Alfas styling - we need top drawer performance against the so called "big boys" - and this will be the bella to do it!!

Sermon over (sorry went a bit evangelical for a moment....possibly gone 8c cold turkey)....

Re: Alfa Romeo 8c Competizione

Actually I think Sakis needs to stop posting this stuff as it's seriously hurting me to see such a great car that I'll never be able to actually afford (though may just put a deposit down for kicks...)

Re: Alfa Romeo 8c Competizione

The car looks great...but....I guess no one else has noticed. heh but the Hood is now a completely different design.. and I dont like it.

It no longer canopy's at the firewall.. and opens the much more traditional way with the opening being inward.... Im just glad the panels are still done in Carbon Fibre...

I had my fingers crossed with Sakiss posted the "official" photos a few weeks ago, but i guess those weren't "official" as I suspected since their seemed to be zero difference in those and the rolling prototypes.. Its interesting to note the videos taken on the 8c Website look like the prototype version... much nicer with the hood all one piece. oh well. still beautiful.

Re: Alfa Romeo 8c Competizione

The legent of sports car history returns after 70 years...as Marchionne told,AR's stand had more visitors than Ferrari's...8c is the queen the 77th Paris Mondial de l'Automobile and all the French media refer to it as the star of the motorshow.....everyone was too emotional in AR's stand.

I think the show colour is the right colour - black would lose some of the lines I think despite looking very mean. Of course, I will be after a yellow one...

Re: Alfa Romeo 8c Competizione

What a beautiful model!

Pity they stuck that ugly bint in front of it!

Of the four colours, there is only one. Alfa Red!

Re: Alfa Romeo 8c Competizione

I agree with all these threads, the 8C is a gorgeous looking bella. The only thing that I think lets the interior down is the cheap looking stereo stuck behind the gearstick. Looks like an after thought and something from the 80s!!!

Re: Alfa Romeo 8c Competizione

Agree with virage1 and MariusGTV, Red is the colour for this car.

Maybe the other red is that iridescent (spelling?) red paint seen previously on Alfas.

Isn't all this just brilliant? We'll have a car that will OBLITERATE anything on offer from BMW, Audi & Mercedes other than the McLaren SLR It really will be the most almighty halo product I can remember...

PS. Virage can I be your best friend?

The hood maybe a new design, but I still think this is the best looking Alfa since the 33 Stradale.

Personally I wouldn't pause to think for even a second before taking the 8cs keys ahead of the souless McLarens!

Re: Alfa Romeo 8c Competizione

I spent a little time offering more colors for the 8c.. any Montreal fans? heh. The pic I used is a very reflective shot, so the brighter colors might not look as accurate... I hate the Coral Green, but I have a feeling someone will love it hah... I'd take the artic silver.. .

When all you guys start taking your orders in Europe (lucky bastards), be sure to hit me up for the Pantone's if you want to spice up the colors. heh
