Re: Alfas in film?

I've seen quite a few alfas on TV in the last few days. On an episode of The Sweeney last night there was a dark blue Spider Kamm tail and tonight on an episode of Minder the same! Also saw the back end of a Green Sud. I love those old TV progs!

oh and my 'friend' (cough) told me that there was an old Giulia Spider on a soft porn movie on Movie 24+ last week.

Re: Alfas in film?

Lots of Alfa's in lots of films yet no ideas as to the film that prompted my post . I guess I will have to hope it is shown at some obscure time of night at some point.

Re: Alfas in film?

Not to be pedantic, but the mafia guys in The Italian Job run around in Fiat Coupes...and not Alfa's...they still look and sound badass, tho', anyway you slice it...nice V6 Dino engines under their bonnets.

FRANCESCO'S ITALY - he drove a Red Spider

Not a film but a good TV series nonetheless

Re: Alfas in film?

Wasn't there a Giulietta spider in Otto e Mezzo? I don't know if there are a lot of you that know the film but you probably know the image of the car in the smog at night. It's pretty iconic. BTW there was an Aurelia B24 in La Dolce Vita but that obviously isn't an Alfa.

Re: Alfas in film?

In Australian TV miniseries "Underbelly" the hot lawyer chick that one of the gangsters is going out with drives a grey Alfa 156.

Grand Theft Auto original cover (game) has an Alfa GTV6 in it.

Re: Alfas in film?

Obscure movie references 1.

Shaft in Africa the Superbad eponymous hero drives an ochre Bertone coupe. Truly a supercool car for a supercool guy.

In one scene a hubcap is popped off and thrown but as any true alfista knows the 2000GTV doesn't have removable hubcaps, they are retained by the wheelnuts!! Nice to kbnow that film makers didn't let a little thing like that get in the way of the script. OMG I just realised that knowing that makes me an awful bore.

Obscure movie reference 2. In the otherwise dire 'Lady in Red' what does the fantasy lady drive but a red S2 spider

Re: Alfas in film?

I was just channel hopping this afternoon, happened across an old episode of Pie In The Sky on ITV3 , and lo and behold, a Proteo twinny 155 was featured as the car of choice for a couple of detective types. The plate was M874 CLM.
