I have waved at a few Alfa's here in Germany, only had one reply from a guy in a silver 166.

Beautiful 'J' reg Spider in red on the A1 about 2 hours ago. Top down with the mrs next to him.

Not having much luck recently...waved at several 156s, a pair of Spiders (newer) and a 166 this week...nothing!

When I rode motorbikes (before I was banned by the higher authorities i.e. my wife) everyone on a bike waved at each other. There aren't many alfas in norway, but I'm gonna give it go when mine gets delivered. My current favorite game is comparing the number of audis to the number of Alfas I pass and marvelling at the sheer stupidity of the people that bought the Audi.

Used to get the wave with the 33's never with the 146 but it's started again with the 156
I think the other drivers couldn't see a darn thing through the 146 tinted windows ;-)

have got quite a few nods from fellow GTV's recently including a very nice phase 3 3.2 24v last night. don't get much aknowledgement from other models [146 1.7 16v the other night did sort of the other night]. i think most of the 156's i see are company cars so not Alfisti and the 147's seem to be driven by the little lady probably so the old man has a nice toy for the weekends including a GTA 2 nights ago. where are all the friendly alfa owners?

the AROC members at the old devil on monday night however all flashed lights or beeped horns in their classics which was quite cool i must admit as i went along the A4.

It's been ages since I've had an acknowledgement from another Alfa driver, even though I still wave to any I see.

My other half drives a Land Rover Defender; they nearly all wave to each other, even crusty old farmers here in the depths of North Norfolk (the 'wave' consists of one finger being raised from the steering wheel).

I had quite a decent chat with a bloke in a new 2.2jts Brera this morning at the Shell petrol station near to the office.

Nice chap - he'd had 156's before, then an Audi and now a Brera. Told me my 156 looked fast as *uck....

We are obviously more careful with our farm machinery in Suffolk - when I had my Series Landy we, not having lost ours in accidents, managed to raise all four fingers whilst leaving our thumb still hooked to the wheel.

Makes me chuckle when Landy's wave at me in the Matta...there was a big 4x4 meet near Spring Alfa Day....must have had half a dozen of them drive past waving...v. funny

Seen loads of 156`s on the A35 at rush hour tonight comiing into Poole......Also seen a couple of GTV`s and at least one red Spyder also heading up to Wallisdown.

Not one wave thou....never mind just nice to see a number of Alfa`s about today..

I got "the wave" and a flash of the lights from a European 33 a couple of weaks ago not sure which country it was from though.

Got a nod and a flash from a fellow 147 GTA driver last night on the M25 I just managed a feeble hazzard light flash in return

Yesterday I was down the other end of my road, borrowing some tools of a mate when a fellow 156 owner pulled up. I smiled (rare for me, I smile about twice a year, maybe a few times more) when I saw his car, and probably was still smiling when I looked to see the driver.

He smiled back and gave me a nod like we knew each other which I thought was weird seeing as I've never actually seen the guy and he was about 45, I'm about 25. Then it dawned on me that he must have seen me working on mine in my drive. Does this count, as its the closest i've had, normally in London, i think most people in their newer alfas aren't enthusiasts, and would think you're a bit weird if you waved at them.

Been out this evening in the GTA, only my fourth day of ownership, and what do I meet going the other way but a mirror image of my own car. Much flashing and waving, so I guess that counts as an Alfa wave!

There's an old guy who lives near me who is - to my knowledge - one of only four owners of a red 147 like mine in the village. He always flashes lights and waves enthusiastically.

A guy in a black 147 did the same today. Flash your lights - hey, it might cause an accident, but it's more noticeable. Problem is I flashed a Mazza Quattroporte yesterday and he just looked annoyed.........

Sorry GCL it wasn't me, I'm more North Hants Nr Newbury and head towards Reading. Although yesterday I was in Brussels.......lots of nice GT's there

If our paths do cross and you wave I'll probably end up washing my windscreen at you in a mad panic of excitement (trying to flash back etc)
