It's a sign of the times macg29.
Its all about courtesy and respect.
i am old enough to recall the times when AA and RAC members had car badges on their radiator grills and the patrolman would salute the member as they drove past.
Nowadays their are too many members and the practice paled to insignificance.
I used to flash headlights in my Triumph Stag to acknowledge fellow stag users.Ford escort users never really did it so many.
I do it to other Alfa users as a friendly guesture to acknowledge their good taste.
However some people are so busy rushing about and are so selfish they have no thoughts or respect for otheres other than themselves.
My familt cringe and hide like your son and they consider me a dafty too.
Perhaps in time they will ackowledge others and realise what nice people their parents were and the good manners they passed on to them.
Felt sorry for alfa169 with his run in with brera man. Nomad says similar thing too. Maybe he was just back from the alfa dealer, then the dentist or maybe a personality transplant.
As Nomad says maybe he is just a miserable old person.(Had too sign up to new rules on return from holiday).
A sign of the times that people do not talk to each other any more .They just rush about in cars.
Keep the wave alive and a flash of the headlamps works wonders to an apprecative alfa owner.(Normal exclusions apply ..ie breraman)
Hope there is not a member called breraman. If so sorry.
