i got the Alfa wave!!

So busy admiring a Rosso Facelift 156 driving northwards into Leighton Buzzard about 10:00 this morning almost missed an Alfa wave.

Tried to nod in reply .....so if it's anyone who visits AO.... Hi.....and thanks.

Not had any waves yet, altho I keep trying. Flashed a nice red GT coming out of Verwood last week.

If everyone waves we will start a new trend (or a tidelwave) lol

Hi people. Did my first Alfa wave today to see if it worked after reading youre thread's. As i turned onto a main road i saw another GTV coming the other way, so as cool as i could i lifted 4 fingers off the wheel to aknolage this rare accourance and Hey!! it worked the guy waved back.

Waves for me are quite common. From non alfisti as well. But having a classic really helps

I once spotted a Citroen Visa GTi (yes, they exist) hurdling towards me in my rear view mirror at 110 mph. Stuck my thumbs up out of the window. The same gesture was returned to me.

same bloke again last night red/burgundy 155 in ipswich waved! posted it here a few times so far but still no response i rekon he's on another forum or just waves at anyone!

Got the wave today from a dude in a dark coloured 146 at Rowlands Gill....been a while since thats happened

Still not had a wave from another Alfa!

Although on Saturday while stuck in traffic in Bethnal Green a guy crossed the road on foot in front of me stopped looked at the car and front badge stuck his thumb up and then carried on on his way!

waved at a 146 this morning on my last journey in my present 155 and was acknowleged.

after a week of solid waving at 147/156's i shall not be bothering again.

There's a guy living at Knowle Village i have passed a few times in a silver 156 on my way to work at Ravenswood House, i acknowlege him and he just gives me a blank look Anyone here?

I'm not much of one for waving,but I let a 145 Green Cloverleaf out from behind a lumbering concrete truck in Fareham today and the miserable git gave no acknoledgment whatsoever...........even Beemer drivers usually raise a "thankyou" hand.

I finally got the Alfa wave yest in my village from a green GTV...at last it all payed off !

Had my first Alfa wave this AM on the way back home to get my forgotten golf shoes(Yawn!)To be fair my other car,sorry the wifes car will get a wave or maybe its an obscene ges,its a multipla!!Tend to get a wave when on holiday or when away from my local area!Me lancias always got a wave which was pretty cool.

was on my way north on m6, about 50 or so miles north of birmingham, was passed by a nice black 75.

(saw it earlier in the services, think it might have been a v6 ?)

first fellow 75 i've EVER encountered on the road !

Yay! Got a wave from a lady in a W-plate Sportwagon in Bournemouth yesterday. I wouldn't get that in a Kia......

Not one response to the Alfa wave for me yet.....I will persevere though.
AlfaDublin nearly waved back when I passed him earlier today but no dice.....That is one sorted looking car, mate.....i was the blue 156 on the greenhills road!

I got a wave / flased lights on monday morning (23/1/06) from another 164 in Barnehurst (North Kent / Bexleyheath borders).
One onf the very few times I have had any responce from another Alfa!

did get talking to a guy in a 147 at the shell garage in our village, told him about S&H as he was about to go to westovers for a service..
