i got the Alfa wave!!

i was driving alsong Neasham Road in Darlington today and passed a nice new shape 156 sportwagon in silver...we both looked at each others cars then nodded as we drove past each other...i dont know if it was anyone from this forum though

i got a wave last monday night, i was doing 60 on a dual carrigeway (40 limit), it was from an unmarked patrol car, amusingly, after some finger wagging, he started talking about alfas, and that he"d owned two, then let me go without, a fine, now thats what i call an alfa enthusiast

That really did make my day. Would have been perfect if he had revved it just a little - the sound would have been brilliant in that underground car park

Spotted a few coming back from Silverstone on Sunday.

Got blanked by a 155er on the A143 near Bury St Edmunds then by a 145er on the A143 30 miles further east. Also got passed by a 156 JTD tanking it on the A14, but I went past him a few miles further on

Gave up on 156 & 147's long ago, 166's are usually more willing. But to be blanked by a 145 & 155 on the same day thats just not on

Got a wave from a White S2 spider in Sheffield Eccy Road on Saturday

I saw three Proteo Red 156's between Lee and Fareham this morning (a distance of no more than 3 miles), is there a convention going on this morning???

Didn't know about the wave until today and I don't remember anyone waving at me from another Alfa. I have said "nice car" to a couple that were getting into a "twin" of mine in a car park once - they did look at me oddly until they saw me get into mine. They drove past grinning - that's as close as I've got to a wave in two years.

i've seen 2 amazon greens, not in the same day though......1 of course GC

was a nice proteo red 156V6 in the car park at the Queens Head, Dogmersfield yesterday.

Get waved almost every day (and wave back ofcourse )

There seems to be another Amazon Green 156 in Fareham/Gosport .

I have seen it a couple of times at the Market Quay roundabout or on the flyover, but I have not yet managed to catch the attention of the driver

Yep, i've spotted him in Fareham too.
There was a nice black one (shame about the big spoiler) i used to see quite often in the area.....then just vanished

you do look the axe murdering sort though GC

I'm wondering if the wave is regarded as a bit "string glove" by people nowadays. I wave at other Alfas but the response is generally a half hearted wave back acompanied by a "who the F**'s that?" type look on their face!

I shall persevere though!
