Red 156 Welford Road area of Leicester.
Red GTV/Spider A1/A43 intersection near Stamford.

got the Alfa finger this morning!!
on the goudhurst road saw a fellow 156'er in a tidy silver example. Gave him a wave and got a one finger acknowledgement  and it was the forefinger he lifted from the wheel not the middle! |

Had a flash, smile & a wave in Sketty Park, Swansea this lunchtime from a chap in an almost identical Red GT to ours  |

Jeeeeeezuz on a pogo stick! For the first time in a year I actually had someone in an Alfa greet me today! A newish red spider roared past me in the Butetown Tunnels here in Cardiff, gave me a beep and a flash of the hazards! After me flashing every Alfa driver I see and getting no response, today was a first!

got my third wave in a week! Unheard of success rate for my neck of the woods.
Passed a black GTV on the smallhythe road, he was heading towards Tenterden. Flashed and waved not expecting anything and got a wave back (and definitely not a bemused, who the hell are you kind of wave either!). |

Wooo! My first ever Alfa Wave! (Only taken three years!) A metallic grey Spider on the A153 between Sleaford and Ruskington in Lincs. I was so surprised I only just had time to wave back! Also was having further brake worries with the Spider, so my mind was elsewhere  !

Hi Andy,
that's cool, another Andy in my area driving an Alfa and a member of alfa owner!
My wife says to keep an eye out for her. She has a black 147 and though she's had it about 18 months yet to get a wave!!

I always used to wave at all ARs with quite a bit of blanking - did they recognise what mine was, I wonder? Now I only do it to 'proper' ones and the exchange rate is great! Nice and friendly! Quite a few other classic cars wave too. I'll look out for your black 147, Andy! |

The lack of wavebacks can only mean that more and more people are geting the word that Alfas are geting more reliable.
Still waiting for my first return up in Moray though. Did finally meet Alfa Pat and Geordie Cabby this month, Hi guys.

thanks, that would be great to get a wave from another member. Cool car by the way!
My wife got her first Alfa wave at the weekend. We stopped at Brampton Hut services on the A1M to refuel. Guy in a smart black GT looked over, Hester waved at him and got a proper Alfa wave back!!!
So we are hitting a good rate this week, think that's now 5 waves between us in a week!!! |

Was waiting at some traffic lights at Fullers Hill, Gt Yarmouth, and saw a Black 156 in the front of the queue opposite.
When he pulled away I gave a "Thumbs Up" and got a very clear wave back. |
