Re: i got the Alfa wave!!
Nice little convoy of red S3, my red Spider and a red 156 between J9 & J11 on M25 this am. Nice cheery wave from the couple in the S3 but no response from the 156

Re: i got the Alfa wave!!
Having just driven from Bootle to Salisbury via Stafford (220 miles), and seeing NO Alfas on the M57, M62, M5 or M6 but three ( 156, 156 SW and a Brera) in the first 5 miles after leaving the M5 are Alfas allergic to Motorways?
Also we seem to have a new breed of Alfa drivers that ignore the passion. No eye contact, no recognition, nothing!

Re: i got the Alfa wave!!
Someboody in a blue 147 did the little finger wave I normally do (in case they don't wave back and you feel stupid) yesterday near York University. Anyone on here? I did it back but a bit late. I'm in a silver 156 by the way.

Re: i got the Alfa wave!!
Thumbs up from a guy in a white 156 yesterday driving through Mountain.
Seen him before, think he lives nearby.
Also, day before saw a girl in a GT on the M62 with the reg L12 JTD.
I think she might have been called Liz.

...-I got the Alfa wave, ...-sort of?
Well, I though I got an Alfa wave, I was driving down our main motorway 'Sheikh Zayed Road' here in Dubai and got a lots of waves. Thinking that it was due to a nice shiney Alfa, cruising down with the top down, it turned out that all the frantic waves was due to a cheap bed mattress being stuck to the underbelly of the car, whilse cruising at 80mph! Pulled over with a bunch of locals to help me out! How on earth it didn't spark up is beyond me, haha.

Re: i got the Alfa wave!!
Well I have to hand the 159 back on monday when I pick my 156 up so didn't think I'd get any waves so had a pleasant surprise on the way home. Followed a red 156 (02 plate) with a big wing for 3 or 4 miles through country roads (fairly spirited driving but nothing silly) and then pulled up alongside at some traffic lights. We both looked across, smiled and nodded at each other. Then when the lights changed nodded again!
Top man!

Re: i got the Alfa wave!!
Had my first Alfa wave today, and as waves go, it was a corker! Middle of York, driving over Lendal Bridge in slow traffic, got a big wave from a guy driving his extremely lovely Alfa SZ in the other direction. Obviously I waved back!

Re: i got the Alfa wave!!
No-one is waving back to me... should have gone to the Alfa Spring Day so that I could have been sure of a return wave. It seems like most people either ignore me or give me that "are you crazy?" or "what's wrong with my car?" look... though I think it's cos I'm only seeing modern Alfas in my day to day driving and most are not as aware... (note I said most... as I'm a GT driver and can count as the minority).

Re: i got the Alfa wave!!
i'm starting to get fed up waving at Alfa's now , i am probably getting a reputation as a bit of fruitcake round my area. I waved at a guy in blue brera today, he looked at me as though i had got 4 heads. My missus thinks i am mad now too.

Re: i got the Alfa wave!!
followed a face lift 166 the other day from bedford to Milton keynes, he was in the left lane i was in the middle lane, as i rolled past, he looked over, smiled and gave a knowing nod! the gesture was returned, and i drove off slightly happier for some reason.
used to have this happen all the time in American cars, pleased to see it happens with Alfas' too.

Re: i got the Alfa wave!!
Saw a lovely blue Brera in Croydon tonight. I went to pull alongside to give a cheeky wave, but just as my nose was coming inline with his back he cut me up, just pulled into my lane without indicating. Hmmm. So, if you were in a blue 07 Brera, plate ending in UML then tut tut.
