I got the Alfa wave!!

Finally got my first wave today. Bournmouth roads (haven't got a clue where like) Red GTV cup

Got my first "wave" of sorts since I have been in the 156 sw. I gave a nod of approval to a fella in a red 147 this morning. Can't remember where I was (brighton/hove?) but basically somewhere on my route in to work. Nod of approval was reciprocated. Good stuff!

A man in a burgundy 1.6 156 SW returned my smile and nod as we pulled alongside each other in traffic on the M40 Northbound on Sunday afternoon just after Warwick services

Also saw a 145 not far behind him but was in no position to wave. Three Alfas in a sea of trucks and German tat

flashed(headlights) at a GTV yesterday morning who was turning into Farnborough Station...they flashed back which i think was a wave... :|

I've always loved Alfas - couldn't really afford one before, but never even knew about the wave...

Now I've ordered a new GT, can I wave? In London, will people think I'm a nutter?

They may think your a nutter but wave anyway. It's great when you get a wave back

I've had very poor success rates in West London unfortunately... I always wave though

Got another wave from a guy in a silver 156 in newport on Sat.

Got ignored by two spider drivers less than ten minutes ago - although to be fair one was a woman.

I am currently waving at any Alfa I see with a return rate so far of....zero...

got a nod from a nice chappy in a black 159 sportswagon coming down the A404 but that's it so far...

Well I parked next to her at the lights and waved and I got a very strange look - just seems most women only drive them cos they look good and have no general interest in cars.

You will find most people wont wave if they drive 147 etc they are just a good looking car to them as they have no interest in the heritage of the marque

I was kidding... as a female Alfa owner who DOES get motoring heritage (our other car is a Lotus) , I'll wave... (I do in the Elise too)...

and yeah... it does look pretty

I like to give a nod - and I'm a modern Alfa Driver (just picked up my GT Blackline) I had a 147 before!!!! Keep on wavin / nodding I say!!

my dad has other alfa drivers wave at him in his 147 all the time! he loves it!

I'm getting my Blackline on Friday... I can't wait... I've already been tempted to wave at Alfa drivers since reading this discussion... Not done it yet as I think doing it from a Vauxhall will be a bit strange...

Well i sort of got the Alfa wave it was from one of the salesmen from my local Alfa dealer as he was out on a test drive

Lost my cherry going over the menai suspension bridge to anglesey. Anyone else out there had it on such a magnificent piece of engineering?
