I got the Alfa wave!!

hello to the black 147? in guildford today.....you were stopped at some lights opposite me. and you waved. yay! there was another one too on the way to guildford but i forget the model of alfa it was. soooo two waves in one day, my average isnt quite so bad now. woo yeah!

about 9.50pm today A27 heading towards worthing.....saw an lovely new looking alfa this evening, dark blue or black, didnt get the model as i was concentrating hard what with my headlight having just gone ping! anyhow the bloke levelled up next to me and grinned like a man with a new alfa romeo and waved like ive never seen. top marks that man! lovely car too!

That was me!!!

Was taking it easy as my new Blackline (JTS) has only done 500 miles. Obviously didn't see you coming up in the rear view mirror, what with it being dark. When you went past, I too, thought what a nice Alfa.

I haven't yet worked out who I'm supposed to wave to (all Alfas or just GT's) but saw your brake lights come on a bit too early for the lights and Knew you were slowing for me and was pleased to draw up alongside for acknowledgement/wave.

I live a half mile from those lights, always on that stretch of road. Will watch out for you again.

Very pleased with my car. Can't wait to put a few more miles on the clock so that I can open it up a little more.

This forum has been very welcoming to a Newbie.

Please wave at the new ones....I always, always, always wave from the cabin of my '06 147, even if I don't get a response it still feels good!! Now and again I get a nod or a wave. There are Alfisti out there driving newer Alfas.

Not a wave, but caught a whiff of 147 GTA exhaust smoke today. I was driving sedately along the A30 outside Egham when a nice 147 GTA with a Tsomething GTA plate and twin exhausts roared up on the inside and then drove on in a "spirited" fashion. This is the first 147 GTA I've seen on the road and it looked very nice (from the back at least). Anyone on here?

Waved to two this morning, One was a lovely black 159ti on the M25 slip road to the southbound M3 who waved back, the other was a grey S3 spider on the M3 got a thumbs up from the S3 driver.

Wortley today let a guy pull out in his dark blue 156 new model. gave me a good thumbs up not sure if that was cause i let him out though lol.... i hope not

I've seen a black one with twin pipes in Sutton.

Darth Vader has a black one with twin pipes too and he's based in East London. His Reg ends in GTA. Maybe he was venturing west??

Passed a grey 55(?) plate GT in Ebchester today around 10:45am. I should have waved, but you're my first Alfa since I got mine and I hesitated too long.........next one I will!

Got the alfa wave and flash of lights from a red 159 in Maldon:xmas:

Waved to several in Chester and Nantwich over the last couple of days, nothing

gave the thumbs up and received one back from a nice 57 plate 159, at the end of Sandy Lane in Farnborough

Nodded to a guy in a Black Brera with a 57 plate that was next me in traffic going the opposite way at Perivale(A40). Got a Nod back

Driving back from Somerset today on the 303 (what an awful road!!!), stop/start/stop/start but... was cheered up somewhat by driving 30+ miles behind a really nice 55 plate Blue GT. Did they flashing & waving bit. Parted company when I turned off for the M27 & the blue GT contined along the M3.

Belting down the M20 the othernight , it was dark and i spotted another GTV , so as i went past i flashed the hazards and got a nice little flash up , made me feel part of a crew.......... must be getting old !

Got a return wave from a black 156 Sportwagon on the A4 in Newbury this morning

Sunday 23rd December on the A39 at around 16.00hrs, i saw a nice looking Green GTV Spider.I waved and then remembered i was driving the wife's little Fiat Not sure if it was anyone on here.

Oi that our best road that is!!!

Did 150 miles on Christmas day, didnt see another Alfa, actually hardly saw any other cars, empty roads and the sound of the engine ahhhhh!

Drove up to Chesterfield to visit my Dad on Boxing Day, as we got in the car I warned the missus we might receive waves, and to keep her eyes open.

After about passing 5 or 6 other Alfas... nothing.

Then we came up alongside a new GT Blackline, and he waved! The missus was shocked but managed a quick reaction wave.

We then spent the next half an hour following each other on the M1.

I reckon the Blackline owner previously had a GTV, as the plate was ** GTV and he transferred it over.
