I got the Alfa wave!!

8.50am near cowfold, sussex today. White vintage alfa, sorry dont know the model number im not totally clued up on all the models yet. very quick recognition and it made me smile for a few mins...my first wave!!!!!! wooooooooooooooo!!!!!

flashed my lights and waved at a fellow 156 on the a262 between sissinghurst and goudhurst and was chuffed to get a flash back!

Last week trying to join a rush hour line of traffic coming off the A1M at Welwyn a bloke in a Nissan gave me two thumbs up and a big smile and let me in. Obviously a man of perception and taste returning his brother-in-laws car.

I'm trying to keep the 'Galant Wave' going strong, but I've only seen about 3 and gotten one response

I'm trying to get the TT wave established, its taking time!!!!

Glad to read tha the Alfosi are still 'doing it' though

Hmm, the TT wave should be more easily achievable Whereas I would have thought, they seem the type. Whereas my Galant Brigade all appear to be over 400 years old

It could just be living in the south east, but the TT brigade around here struggle to see other vehicles let alone each other!

i waved the other day to a fellow alfa owner......however it was my mate in his 156 v6!!

got a wave from a fellow alfa owner by the firestation in Matfield in Kent. Well done that man!

I could have sworn I saw Gibbo on the M4 this morning at about 07:30 just coming to J13 eastbound, nice blue 166. He was going for a serious yawn, so didn't see my wave.

got the alfa wave on walmsley road in bury from a red 156 but only realised when my daughter pointed it out ( must concentrate more )

Got a wave back from a red 156 and a Steel Grey phase 2 Gtv this morning on the London rd Datchet.

Got a wave back from a fella in a silver gtv on brighton seafront on wednesday approx 15:30.

Flashed and waved at a fellow Black 156 owner on Kingston Lane going past uni this afternoon but got nothing in return. I'm going to stop trying soon

It has been a long time since I have posted here. God knows I have tried - I have waved, flashed at every Alfa I have come across. Result - no.

3 days a week I work in Clacton-on-Sea and over the last 2 months I have come across another GTV on the A133 coming the other way on at least 10 occasions when driving home. It is a red P1 GTV driven by a blond woman. I have as I have said, waved, flashed etc but have had no response. Grrrr - non reponsive Essex girls.

So then - today I was driving home and my mind was a bit distracted thinking about stuff - a lot going on in my life at the moment - my peripheral picked up some flashing headlights coming towards me - I sort of glanced as it approached then realised it was that GTV driven by that previously ignoring woman in the GTV. Shiess - I think I managed to wave back in time as she went past.

wherabouts in bury are you nac? i go down walmersley road a few times a week, look out for a lipari grey facelift 156
