Waiting for the top coat. It will be Fiat Racing Red. Black lettering and then a final lacquering with "gold" fleck..

It does sound very interesting - an good, simple and cheap mod idea. Something i've been toying with too.

Ta..! Its nice and dry now, just about to sand it back a bit, and then the top coat.

Is that a clay model of your engine cover . You went to an awfull lot of trouble

The gold fleck really stands out in the sunlight. (we had some here today)..
The camera just can't catch the effect though..

You'll still be able to "read" the writing.. But, I know what you mean.
Spider is Rosso, so black was actually my first thought.
The red really does "pop" with the gold fleck though.
I'll have to try and get a video, with the sun shining on it, and hope the effect shows up..

Think the RED/gold with Rosso may clash a bit - difficult to imagine. Black with red lettering would look cool though.
