What is so funny? A couple of hours with a wire brush and a tin of silver hammerite and they will be as good as new ready to fit. Better idea if you don't want to do the one at a time or fork out £30 for a new aftermarket set. Seems reasonable enough to me.

I'll spend the £30 thanks

Would "reasonable" not imply the seller doing this chore themselves prior to advertising/taking photographs and then charging, say £15-20 for the set to attract more bids and increase their profit?

Maybe slightly extreme but if anyone is after a rear brake fitting (in need of some work) I could list the one in the photo.

I agree with Mitch. If you already have rusty nuts you can have these cleaned and painted/plated off the Car and then do a swap, don't even have to get the Jack out. I got a new set for my TS, the best quality I could find, which wasn't that good, and they cost me £60. I would have gone for something like these that I could refurb and then fit at my own leisure.
Frankly if they go for a Fiver then it's a good buy.

Ooops, sorry, I missed this.
Odds on it isn't worth his while buying paint and messing about for a few hours to perhaps gain £15, less the £10 for the Hammerite and brush. Hammerite 'aint cheap.

Ooh super, I haven't been after one of those for ages. Would you consider a straight swap for my old air filter? I guarantee it wont fit your car and is proper shagged as per the pic.
If anyone is interested I also have the waste oil from my last change? Collection only as it's filthy and in a bucket

Well who wouldn't? It as a lovely collection of feathers, stones, tar, twigs and grass, all of which will come with it.

Seems there was a little damage to the airbox. Just goes to show what a good job the filter does!
