Air bag light on, MOT passed!

I took a TS GTV for MOT today with the air bag light on. I told the tester straight away when I got there that it was on again after just being put off last week and he said it was no problem. Apparently the option to fail it has been temporarily removed along with the other new items.
Just relaying what I was told here, the car didn't even get an advisory. The light is off again now, permanently this time I hope.

VOSA is being very badly affected by cost cutting and staff losses. The test is getting easier as a result in my opinion. A test station getting a visit from an official is almost unheard of now. Staff are apparently required to test each other and a statement of compliance about standards and equipment is all that is required.

Mine passed today with both airbag light and VDC lights on.The tester took the car for a wee spin to see if the ABS was still working and agreed it was.

But he warned me that come April, both lights would be a failure....we are government MOT inspected over here in NI.

Mime passed its MOT in August; according to my tester it hasn't come in yet. Airbag still burns brightly.
