Well, how the prices compare to the MiTo's likely competitors?

Yup i think so to... except no leather!?

I don't like the headlight surrounds they should be black or body colour or not on it!

although i kind of like how you can't get it all on 1 edition... gives you a little to work on

Re: Here are the MiTo specs and prices.....!!

I wonder what the difference is between the 120hp and 155hp, apart from more turbo boost. Cos £2000 is a bit to pay for them to turn up the boost..

Re: Here are the MiTo specs and prices.....!!

On the Belgian pricelist, bi-xenon headlights are a (750eur) option, and leather seats too - but one that is marked to be available later.

Isn't the UK pricelist+optionlist available on the official alfaromeo site?

Re: Here are the MiTo specs and prices.....!!

the 155bhp also has a 6 speed gear box, 120bhp is a 5 speed. and it is £1200 difference, remember no turismo specced 155bhp petrol or 120bhp diesel. Skydiver needed a N/A in the turismo columns for them.

You can specify black light surrounds according to the brochure

Black (and even body colour) headlight surrounds look cack (imo of course)...I think the chrome ones look gorgeous along with the window sill plastic (sorry chrome).

They are of a nice tasteful design though if you do have to have them. I have been happy with my velour trim in my 147 and I can't really say I would have wanted to go out of my way to get leather...its a bonus if ones comes along with leather however.

Leather seats, for me, change the whole feel of the package. Makes you feel you've bought something special and got your moneys' worth.

This is the first car i've had them in though and i never missed them before, but now i've got them.......

Thats what I was thinking.. I bet there's more to it than that though.

Maybe they used a smaller turbo on the 120bhp model, in which case a remap would probably get it to 150 or so, but remapping the 155 might see 180-190bhp? Does anyone have any ideas where you can find information regarding what turbo the cars come equipped with?

This is a little confusing as there is both a 120 m-jet (1.6) and a 120 t-jet (1.4). M= multijet i.e. diesel and T=turbojet (?) i.e. petrol, the 120 and 155 petrol are just derivatives of the same turboed (sp?) 1.4 FIRE engine used in the Grand Punto, Bravo and the two Abarth cars. They are all Fiat group developed engines so at least it's italian under the bonnet. The UK's 1.4 95bhp is just the standard non turbo FIRE which powers Pandas, Puntos and Bravos.

Now we need to wait on the multiair engines to add further confusion. But back to the original price difference query I refer back to my post made earlier that like for like wasn't being compared, it's 1200 ish difference but you get the extra 35bhp and a different gearbox (6 instead of 5).

Ex-159 Owner, will be back to Alfa in the future.
Abarth 500 well it's got 2 A's and is Italian its all good

When I was at Balocco at the presentation of the MiTo towards their dealers, they told us that all MiTo's would come with a 6-gear box...
