Praise for Palmer and Phillips

Since the usual tone I adopt when discussing any garage or dealer connected with Alfa is disbelieving disgust or outright incandesant rage, I feel I have to counterbalance that with praise for Palmer and Phillips.

My 156 JTS developed the Motor Control System Failure warning and started missing constantly two weeks after the warrenty expired, so fearing the worst I looked around for a local specialist and found palmer and Phillips.

I phoned them yesterday, they saw me this morning and asked me if I wanted to wait whilst they ran the diagnostic software. Coil pack failure was diagnosed and a new one ordered, and they just rang me now to say its fixed and ready to go. Cost, £89.

Suffice to say I'll be using these guys from now on for whoever long I suffer Alfa sickness.

I've got no connection whatsoever with these guys other than being a newly satisfied customer, highly reccomended.

I know of a few other people who swear by them as well. Certainly a highly recommended specialist in the Oxford Area.

I am pretty some of the mechanics actually worked at Hallewells on the cowley road when it used to be an Alfa dealer.

Good for them. Other good ones are County Motors in Carlisle and Western in edinburgh.
