Sticky stuff - removal??

In short - made an ar$e of refitting one of the side skirts and have had remove again. Trouble is - I used an equivalent of Sikaflex to re-attach and while I have cleaned the back of the skirt, there is still tons on the car. I don't fancy attacking paint with a stanley blade, so what removes this stuff? Thinners? Petrol? Blow torch? Atom Bomb?
Any other daft sod out there had to do the same??
Yours fery sheepishly

Try lighter fluid. Not sure if that will damage the paintwork or not.

Had some Sticky Stuff remover that was basically acid from orange peels that worked wonders. Not sure where to get it fromm, betterware or simular I think.

I wonder if CILLIT BANG would work. After all it professes to cleaning everything else there is

Anything that'll shift it is going to eat into
the finish.

Blades and thin (cheese cutter style) wire
are the only option that I know of.

Re: Sticky stuff - removal??

What about alcohol? Surely that would get rid but not affect the finish in any way you could notice?

What about an isopropyl based cleaner. Something like Isoclene.
