Well it came from a Luca De Meo press anouncement I believe during the MiTO launch so should be available next year....

Theyre going to build it - they have to go against clio sports etc etc

They probably will build and sell them but I would bet on a longer gap between the lower spec models being released and the GTA going on sale.

We were told by Alfa Romeo South Africa that the MiTo GTA is definitely on the cards..... question was : WHEN ? I know I want one.... 1800 cc turbo , 230 hp.... yes please, in red...

Yer, ok, the GTA sounds nice, but what about the standard guises? 1.3, 1.4 diesel!!! why bother? 1.4 petrol!!! again, why bother?

With th ehigh fuel prices nowadays, I may actually be looking for a small, fuel efficient little car.... and Alfa did not have one before.... the 1.4 Turbo is still a hot little car.

haven't you driven a 1.4t-jet yet? it'll cream your twinny.

i believe the base diesel is the 1.6JTDm, which outperforms the 1.9JTDm. where did you get the idea it is a 1.4JTDm? (i've never heard of a 1.4JTDm, only the 1.3, 1.6, 1.9 & 2.4)

Sorry, that was a typo. the diesels come 1.3 and 1.6.
