Potential Alfa owner

We are thinking of chopping in our little`04 plate renault clio dci for a alfa 156 jtd.I have seen one at a dealers,05 plate ti,and really like the look of them. Are they a good car?,expensive to run?,general faults etc?.We have had the clio from new and, apart from servicing,it hasnt cost us a penny! But the 156 is so nice i am very tempted.Could it cause me sleepless nights and empty pockets?,What are the running costs like?.Sorry for all the questions but we need to know before we take the plunge. Thanks

a nice dealer 05 JTD - it will be a wonderful car!

if the car is in good condition, has a history, you get a warranty, then buy with confidence, and enjoy!

I was driving about in a Renault before I got my Alfa 147.

Its amazing how much fun renault can take out of driving, totally forgot how enjoyable it can be when your in a nice refined car.

I love my 147. Loved my old 19 16V too, so Renault aren't all bad

I think you will find that most people on here buy Alfa 'cos they love them.

I don't know if you have to love them before you buy your first or not, but I think you do.

I had had lots of contact with Alfa's prior to owning one and have owned nothing else now for twenty years.

So be prepared to love them, if you don't already!

BUY AND ENJOY!

Aye! If you didn't break your Renoort, then you'll be okay with the '56.

yes. but so can any car.

a late JTD 156 is as safe as you can get as far as AR's go.
