Re: What the devil is THIS ??

ive seen a couple of these in the flesh and they are shoddy as hell, i think its a kitcar based on the old GTV, take one perfectly good gtv and chop the roof off, ruin the front end with some fibreglass and hey presto one alfa romeo skip

A big black car.

Re: What the devil is THIS ??

Yup, it looks like the tree did us all a favour.

However, it is already on a trailer so that cuts out the middle man and he says that he is willing to drive it to the ferry. So whoever buys it can just shove it into the sea.

Re: What the devil is THIS ??

This was pretty common for the seventies - take one standard production car, which has had the benefit of millions of pounds worth of development and testing, rip it to pieces and clothe the running gear in an ugly party dress made of GRP. They could have made this a lot prettier, by keeping some semblance of Alfa identity at the front.
There were some really good kit cars in the seventies and eighties though. One which stands out, was a Ferrari P4 replica by Noble, which made use of a Renault twin turbocharged V6, and was finished to a very high standard.

Designed by the same guy who did the Triumph TR7 I bet!
The rear end looks OK but I dunno about the front.

:2thumbs: Don't buy it, just arrange to view it then launch it with a big bottle of champagne.

Very true. I've seen one close up with the roof down and it was shockingly bad. And that was a good one!
