Re: Autolusso
I've not purchased a car but I have had very good service from them. I know from experience that when running a small business, getting the balance right is really difficult. IMHO there could be any number of reasons for the recent issues posted on here but I'm sure Autolusso would not create cause for complaint unless there was a good reason, especially given the potential sales/service business from AO and thier reputation on here. I'm sure they will deal with things as quickly as they can - I still have no issue using them.

Can we take it that when matters have been discussed 'in private' between said parties, that the outcome can be aired here?
Finally, in my opinion it is probably unwise and inappropriate for Forum Mods who have conducted business with any company to do with Alfa Romeo cars, whether it be a dealer, an independent, a garage, a parts supplier, whatever - to post up opinions on the products or services supplied. When problems arise, it can cause a conflict of interest.
Sorry to go all serious but a lot is at stake here.
I think it is a matter of transparency. If Auto Lusso communicate and provide customer service then nobody would bother in putting their comments on a web forum. From a personal point of view it was the lack of communication and of course the lack of car delivery which has brought our business arrangement to an end.

Attempting to purchase a car is the problem. They do not deliver and do not communicate not the best experience I have ever had. I will use main dealers in future.

The main problem with statements such as this, (Not that there's anything wrong with posting a statement such as this) is that the forum doesn't really know where to stand.
As on one hand it should be left for Autolusso / Ned to respond, but at the same time is the forum in jeopardy because someone's randomly slagging off Autolusso?
To be fair to Ned, he appears to be a very active member of the forum, as opposed to alot of dealers who have registered and do nothing except try and advertise their business. Which of course is fair enough, but at least Ned does try and communicate with people via the forum.

Re: Autolusso
I would not slag anyone off, genuine honest feedback is what I am offering. It is good that Ned communicates via this forum, however, from reading various statements and my own experience has demonstrated that he does not communicate directly with his customers who have placed orders and deposits. It is a very difficult market out there and excellent customer care is vital for both Auto Lusso and their customers.

That's fully understandable. I wasn't saying that you were slagging him off, what I was trying to say was that the forum as a whole can't risk any Tom, Dick or Harry coming along and saying whatever about whoever. ('Slagging them off') I wasn't meaning to imply that's what you were doing as I am not aware of your and Autolusso's situation.

Re: Autolusso
Wholenut, would you care to elaborate a little on your experience with AL?
Did you place a deposit? How long did you wait for your car? Were you given a delivery 'window' at all? Did you get your deposit back?

Re: Autolusso
Wholenut
Sounds as if we are in the 'same boat'. I too have had no pro-active comms or responses from AL. When things are not going as expected it is even more important that good customer service is demonstrated through regular updates and openness. As this has not been forthcoming from AL then we get anxious and suspicious. Hence these forum posts. All it takes to turn this round is for AL to just tell us what the situation is and what actions are in hand to honour customer committments. Else they should just stick to what they are good at (car servicing apparently) and return the deposits.

Re: Autolusso
The threads may be removed but the discussion remains the same, undelivered cars, unreturned deposits and no communication.
You are right VO2Max, its all a shame!

Re: Autolusso
I really wonder how many of us out there have paid deposits for cars, have not had them delivered and have not heard from Auto Lusso. If only they realised these threads will run and run until they communicate better, treat their customers with greater openness and more respect, nobody would be talking about the men in suits.

Wholenut, forgive me for questioning your motives but pretty well all but a couple of your posts have been targeted at AL. You have been asked to elaborate on your personal experience but just revive the thread with "more of the same" generalisations and vague inferences.
I don't know what your circumstances are but the more I read, the more it sounds like you aren't a genuine customer, perhaps someone from a main stealer with an axe to grind.
I may be wrong, in which case I apologise unreservedly for suggesting otherwise, but it is about time you started adding some substance to your comments (IMHO).
...and no, I haven't dealt with AL, no I am not connected to them or the trade in any way. And no, I don't have an issue with people airing genuine, substantiable grievances but Ned and any others should have a right to some response to mudslinging (which is basically all you seem to do) and we've seen what happened to a Volvo forum where this kind of slagging off resulted in its closure.
So come on, let's have you out of that murky closet now and tell us your story in full technicolour HD detail.

Re: Autolusso
With Jim here - seems alot of supposition without to much detail....
So when did you place an order and pay said deposit?
What car did you order ?
What was quoted delivery?
After all chap I am in the same boat mate so I feel for you I really do...
I put in an order for Veryon I sent my cheque off in good faith - but still no car
Chris

Can you explain your situation more thouroughly? From what you are saying it sounds as though you gave AL a deposit, then never heard anything from them again. If that is what you are saying then I don't believe you.
Autlusso are a business, they're not going to run away with your money unless you backed out of the order AFTER they had ordered the car for you.
Is this what happened?

It would be good to have some hard facts that would put the legitimate grievance/trolling debate to bed once and for all.

Re: Autolusso
I have read (I think) most of the posts about Autolusso and I must admit that from what I have heard, i would be happy to have work done by them but would be very nervous about buying a new car off them (not that i will ever be able to afford one) unless it was there for me to take away same day (but then I am very very impatient)
But then I'm sure there are far more happy customers than unhappy ones, just that its always the unhappy ones that attract all the attention as they shout the loudest (not flaming those that have posted on here that they are not happy)
