Re: Autolusso

I think this is extremely concerning. I think at the very least you deserve some kind of reply from Autolusso. Very sorry to hear this.

Re: Autolusso

Ned could, of course, be on holiday. I'm not sying that AL should not have been in touch with the complainant, but if Ned's the only one who looks at the forum thta may explain why he hasn't replied on here.

I was going to say that was a tremendously positive take on the situation Fraser. In a way, I wish it had been true - but only if they didn't have so many 'Internet Cafes' on the Costas.

Tell you what though - I try not to read emails or take calls when I'm on holiday, and I run my own business too.

This is exactly why such forums are of benefit. For us who are customers of AL with outstanding orders (and deposits) it is extremely beneficial to find out how a business deals with the difficult situations. Reputations and confidence are built on good customer service when things go wrong. A prompt reply to reach some form of satisfactory conclusion would be expected, especially when it is in the public domain. Will continue to watch with interest, keep us updated Jon.

Re: Autolusso

I have seen the original (or one of them) thread and it seemed a fairly huge grievance, and it would make sense for a business man to want to supply goods to a customer, Without wishing to cast stones, it seems odd that you have to wait so long for the car, surely there are new Alfa's for sale in showrooms???
HappyMan seemed to find what he wanted easily enough?
It is also sad that if ten people praise a supplier it can be wiped out by one complaint...

Well, I think there's been more than one complaint here, as a search will show.

Re: Autolusso

I didn't say there was only one complaint, just that one complaint wipes out any good comments-Thats a general comment, not just in view of this situation
Indeed as with all/most of us AO included we don't know all of the facts, and are all only speculating as to what has happened, possibly why the policy is for threads of this nature to be locked, I am trying to be as fair as possible to all concerned..

Re: Autolusso

Fair comment. And I think a balanced and fair view is always important in any issue. One thing is for certain, I wouldn't like to supply these cars at the moment, given the current grievious levels of production at Alfa Romeo!!

Re: Autolusso

I've had brilliant service from AutoLusso, I'm not a new car buyer though, they did some mechanical work on my car and I have also used them for parts. No bad comments, although I'll acknowledge they do take a while to ring back and sometimes don't answer the phone, but having been there I know how busy they are and there isn't a lot of staff. But they have been fantastic for me

If they're so busy, why don't they employ more staff?

More staff costs more money meaning higher prices. It's difficult getting the balance right.

Surely if you don't get the balance right then the market will determine the balance for you?

Well, surely this is very basic economic theory? Surely we all covered these basic supply/demand theorems at school, didn't we?
