My poor car

Going to work yesterday morning along the M53 with van in front of me. All of a sudden, from around the side of this van comes a builder bucket bouncing along the central reservation and into the carriageway.

Tried as best I could to avoid it but given the other traffic around I didn't have much of a chance and it hit the front of the car right on the driver's side indicator assembly.

The indicator is smashed so I'll need to replace that, not sure about the black plastic grill, seems OK although there does seem to be one of the retaining clips missing.

The thing I'm really worried about is that there is about a 1 centimetre crack in the bumper, on the flat section just below the indicator.

What do you think? Is this something that will get worse over time? Is ther some sort of fix i can get done with a complete bumper replacement?

I suppose it could have been worse. but i'm really miffed about this.

Bummer. I guess no chance of getting the reg of the guy that caused this? Some people are so inconsiderate. Hope it's not too hard to get it sorted.

Cheers,

Nigel

Re: My poor car

Phoned the local dealer, indicator is £30 plus Vat and the plastic grill £14 plus Vat so not too bad.

Still worried about the bumper

In Luton there are a couple of bumber doctor type companies - so I expect there is one close to you

Didn't really think about one of these, I'll get one to take a look.
