Re: 2.0 GT Cloverleaf

I drove one round Thruxton yesterday.... Nice car, lots of the drivers there felt it handled really well but it's a bit underpowered. But that shouldn't be a major problem on the road. I'm sure you'll enjoy it when you get it.

Regards,

Nigel

Re: 2.0 GT Cloverleaf

word from alfa that the sport button is to do with the suspension set up not the remap of the engine. so the engine will push out 170bhp anyway ( prehaps this is a test for the dna being used on the new mito suspension?)

Sorry your wrong on that one. If you look at several dealer websites the sport button changes the mapping only.

As for the suspension Alfa aren't going to invest and put something like DNA into such an old model range, remember the GT is based on 147/156.

Re: 2.0 GT Cloverleaf

I really like the GT. I think time wil be very good to it unlike the 159. It is a very distinctive design and very intimidating (especially in your rear view mirror. Definitely a classic for the future.

From Alfa;

A Sport button on the central console varies the mapping of the engine management unit to increase the power output. This gives the driver the option of selecting a “normal” power mode or “sport” for a more exhilarating drive

Re: 2.0 GT Cloverleaf

Just found this on HR Owens site "The Sport button on the central console of the 170bhp diesel version varies the mapping of the accelerator pedal, enhancing throttle response when selected." so who's telling the truth
