Just booked my 156 in for it's MOT, going in on Monday. Will definitely need some work and I've asked them to check out the smoking exhaust and increased oil usage. It's done well over 120k miles now and is starting to show it but I still enjoy it
well the 156 needed two new front tyres (was expecting this), new rear suspenion arm (was expecting something similar from the clunking!), a new CV boot cover and a new power steering pump!! Was not expecting this last one, they found the pump was spraying fluid all over the place so have to replace it!
not sure about the final cost until I pick it up, the power steering pump didn't turn up in time for them to finish it today Still, at least I have an alfa courtesy car, a 156 that's done 130k miles and still feels pretty new.
