They look GREAT! I'm quite surprised they do actually as It's not a combo I would have expected to look that decent. Well done on that mod Simon!

Re: £1000 Gtv

Right, I decided to do a little research on the GTV 2.0TS what with the fact I'm buying one, and have seen that the Lusso can do 137MPH and the other models 'only' do 134MPH.

What's the difference between the Lusso and the other models giving it the few extra MPH's?

He's advertising this as a Lusso. How can I tell if it is or not? Does it say so on the V5 or something? As the badges on the back just tell me it's a GTV 2.0 TS.

Lusso is Italian for Luxury.

Seems odd that it is faster! Perhaps someone knows more than me!

It will be a higher spec interior with things like (possibly) AirCon, Mag wheels, better radio or such like.

I do not know specifically what the differences will be but that's the kind of thing.

Yes, the V5 should say something like "GTV T SPARK LUSSO"

Re: £1000 Gtv

Ant sent me this earlier on:

BTW, Darren, just as you had been warned before, if you start another "help me decide on this car" thread, it'll be merged. Don't forget.

We let this one slip.

Ant

Re: £1000 Gtv

It shouldn't be merged, as this is a different car... That was a much older post anyway.

Re: £1000 Gtv

Yeah I know, I haven't even been around these here parts for months.

I think he's just flexing his mod muscles to be honest,

Can't really be bothered with the bloke though to be honest,

Re: £1000 Gtv

AT £1000 buy it, and you could make a healthy sum stripping it for parts! I reckon that a leather interior, 2 fully functioning doors inc. wing mirrors and an instrument binacle will fetch £1000!

Hey Si, if I'd have spotted this before I went there I'd have taken you up on the offer bud,

...and luckily for me it was!

Yep, I bought it,

I fell in love with it the second I saw it, then loved it even more when I took it out for the test drive.

Cracking little car, very similar in ride to the Fiat Coupe.

I'll post some pics etc when my internet starts working,

I'm still driving the Mondeo at the moment though until the fuel runs out of it then jumping onto the GTV,

The above post was brought to you by Darren156. Irritating members of Alfa Owner since June 2007!

Darren, we will have to meet up again sometime so I can have a look at her.

I wouldn't mind having a drive in it.

Sure thing Simon! Although it's not going to be quite as fast as the Coupe I shouldn't wager,

No, but I bet it handles better. I think it looks better as well.

How does it go in relation to the 156?

It's alot more bumpy!

The ride is nuts, Coming back down Gloucester Road had me watching out for every bump, dip and niggle in the road,

The 156 is much more of a smoother ride, and like I said the GTV is very similar to it's driving to the Coupe, but even then the GTV is alot harder a ride.

Speed wise they feel about the same to be honest, but I didn't get much of a chance to test it to its potential really on the way back.

That can wait for the weekend,
