A bargain. Cheap personal plate and it could look like a £10k car.

Re: £1000 Gtv

Darren, Darren, Darren. *shakes head*

Looks like a tidy car, with keys and paperwork, definitely worth a punt for £1k. Try and knock them down a bit because of the belts and you're on to a winner. You could make money on it when you come to sell it again, providing you don't put a million miles on it.

Hey Jim, to be fair he originally had it up for £1500, then £1250 ONO, so I offered him a grand for it to which he accepted. I'll try and knock another £100 off when I see it, but if it's decent enough and he won't budge I'll probably buy it anyway as it should see me right for quite a few months anyway.

I'll be putting about 5000 miles on it tops in the next 6 months if I did have it taking the mileage to about 140,000. Quite a few but not mega mileage.

Nope, this threads only just popped up mate, I'm getting her this Sunday with any luck,

It is NOT a keeper though, just an Alfa to tide me over whilst I save up for a more expensive motor.

Re: £1000 Gtv

Looks like a bit of a bargain. I recognise the pics - it was on Auto Trader when I was shopping around for mine a month or two ago. Can't remember how much but he was asking a heck of a lot more than £1500 then.

Yeah, it's been up for sale now for a couple of months, originally on Pistonheads for £1500, then down to £1250 ono.

Either way, hopefully it will look as decent in the metal as it does in the pictures.

I bet your missus wouldn't be imprssed though as it is now hers...

Re: £1000 Gtv

I saw a silver 156 that looked identical the other day in North London... had the same wheels too so it must be the same car. Was it your missus' car? If so, who was the bloke driving it, didn't look like you!

Re: £1000 Gtv

I just found a previous advert for the car where he wanted £1750 for it,

Bloody hell, if I get the sucker for £1000 I'll be a happy man!

But not THE Happy Man... That's someone else...
