Kwik Fit AC service rocks!

I bought a 2000 GTV yesterday. Long story short, the AC didn't work, the light green light came on but no compressor kick and no engine tune change, it wasn't working. I checked the fuses and the relay they were all in.

Took it to my local Kwik Fit, they hooked it up to a big grey machine, punched in car details and left it 30 minutes. The AC system had no refrigerant in, so the machine vacuumed the whole system out including oil. UV dyed and pressure checked it. Then filled it up with refrigerant. Turned the engine on and instant AC! Works lovely.

Total cost to me £44.95 with a one month guarantee incase it leaks.

Then on leaving noticed that on the receipt there is a 20% off voucher for AC refill!

Maybe use that on my 156!

my air con isnt working , same as you , i have green light but no engine note change or any sign of the compressor kicking in , might go and try them myself now see what they have to say.

i took wifes MR2 there, they said no problem as long as i stripped plastic covers out of engine bay, brought it back for them to re gas then i would have to to take it away and refit everything! took it to TOYOTA dealer all done by them for ten pound more with a 12 month gtee!!!! kwik fit? dimwits!!!! still u did ok!
