Is there any significance in a Red Clover Leaf?

I was looking around E-bay for a nice badge to add of my Bella and I came across two clover leaf designs;

One red; http://i16.ebayimg.com/05/i/000/bc/52/5ef6_12.JPG

One green; http://i2.ebayimg.com/03/i/000/c2/18/57bb_1.JPG

I have seen the green ones before, but never a red one. I thought the red might look better on a dark blue car. But, if it means nothing and green is the only colour they have been I shall get the green one.

Cheers for the helpful comments in advanced...

Tony

Re: Is there any significance in a Red Clover Leaf?

Both are 3.5cm x 3.5cm

And next to the '156' on the near-side rear of Bella.

I am more worried about the significance of the colours then the size/location. I have seen the green ones on other Alfas and I think they look very nice. But, red contrasts blue better...

Tony, those style of badges were standard on the 145 cloverleaf. They were on the rear of the side skirts. Alfa used different colours to compliment the different body colours. No reason why you shouldn't either mate.

Here is a blue one.

It's a personal taste thing mate, I think the standard green would look cool, but each to their own

How many times! Cloverleaves are green, green and green again. Its the racing heritage and pedigree! Enzo Ferrari cried when he beat the Alfa's, you just dont get that with any other car!

I was wondering how long it would be till you joined in MLC

I know, but green on blue wouldn't look as good as red on blue. Besides, Mitch says they where different colours on 145's, so they can be different on Bella!

It's quite rare to see real clover leafs in anything other than green.

I still think the red looks quite striking.

I know most are green and real ones are green, but... that red looks really goods to me!

Well, it does, but, only once!

Maybe I will get both, one either side!

No, I might get both to see what they look like in real and make a choice then
