Re: Is there any significance in a Red Clover Leaf?

Thank you MLC, at least there are some people in here who understand what AO is for. Not *****ing and accusing others of being something they are not.

I asked a question, got some nice replies and then the drivel started... Very tedious

Now, either assist me in answering if there is any significance in the Red Cloverleaf or use the chat thread.

Bella is getting a badge, she is my car and I think it will add something to her. When I do come to sell her I am not going to say she is a limited edition 'cloverleaf' model. I will simply say I added the badge for personal taste. It can be removed, like all the badges.

Well said.

Mine's de-badged - am I a chav? No, and everyone I have met at meets like how it looks.

Tony, go with whichever you think looks best to you. If people have issues with it, that's their business. It's your car, make her be the way you want to

This is flippin' ridiculous. All I asked was isn't there a significance to the QV - doesn't it relate to certain models. I even went and checked Wiki to make sure. I hope this tirade isn't aimed at me!

I have my handbag at the ready....

I agree hammy. Alfa's are great cars with with history and pedigree matched only by Ferrari. We all have different tastes, but we all love alfa's

Re: Is there any significance in a Red Clover Leaf?

seriously midlife Tony has got a vairied amount of responses most of which are serious opinions - loads of threads on AO (especially in WOT) have joke responses along side serious ones. I think you just have to deal with it, and we are all entitled to our opinions. Obviously its totally up to Tony if he wants to put the clover on or not - lots of people on here have them and lots don't. Some people fell more strongly about the tradition than others.
End result is that it is Tonys decision to make. And any non serious replies on here are not worth getting worked up about.

I think it does, and as mentioned to higher spec models too.

My tirade isnt aimed at you PG, just a generallistic opinion.

I don't see what the big problem is if someone chooses to add a badge to their car. Everyone has the option of free-will

From where im sitting there was an ill natured feel to the posts. We know AO but how does it look to a prospective member?

Ive got friends at my house at the moment and one commented on how ill natured it looked as he was reading! Not a good advertisement for AO guys!

It’s the connotation in the comments rather then the comments themselves. But, I know PG is joking because that’s her nature.

At least she is assisting to find the answer to my question

Guys, lets chill out. We all suffer crossed wires here now and again, and nobody wants to see bickering going on between members. Let's be friends
