Cry Like A Baby Good Bye Bella

I've just watched my 147 of three years drive away with a new owner at the wheel, this is the first car I bought with my heart, at the time I was single and I invested a lot of emotional energy into making her just right.

We've had our ups and downs but never anything that made me fall out with her and the past 3 years have been awesome, and through the car it's introduced me to a great community (AO) and I've made many new friends.

I have to say when I saw her disappearing up the hill I had tears in my eyes and thought to myself, give over you stupid sod it's just a car... but that's not true, it wasn't 'just' a car it was MY car.

I know the new owner will take good care of her, he's enthusiastic about cars in general and this is his first Alfa so I'm sure they'll treat each other well.

Bye bye MCZ 4553, you'll be missed.

The car was originally sold by Mervyn Stewarts, I replaced her with a Bianco Nuvola 147 GTA which is awesome.

No worries, mate. You've got all the excitement of a NEW relationship to enjoy! May you be happy through thick and thin!

I propose a toast ... to Ghosty and his Bianco GTA! God bless all who sail ride in her! Cheers!

He probably didn't want the new owner reading up on all the faults that weren't described in the sale

Traded her in for a model with a bigger implant. You should be ashamed.

Re: Good Bye Bella

Ditto. When my GTV6 went, I hid inside for the whole weekend and just wallowed. It was like losing a good mate.

You know in the Brera advert how uplifted the people are when something with soul arrives, and how glum they are when something with soul leaves?... it was like that.

I'm reading a book at the moment, and here's apt sentence from it:

"...as we [move] on down [life's] long lonesome road, destination unknown, there is always something we are leaving behind us."

It's just life being life, I guess.
